Der WEB-Auftritt der SULB ist in die Jahre gekommen. Außerdem entsprachen einige Funktionalitäten nicht mehr dem aktuellen technischen Standard.
Daher werden die Seiten der SULB ab dem 1.12.2020 in einem neuen Gewand erscheinen. Sie werden erkennen, dass das „Look and Feel“ im Wesentlichen dem der UdS entspricht. Die wichtigsten Änderungen haben wir hier für Sie zusammengestellt:
– Wir haben in Kooperation mit den Fachbibliotheken der UdS einen Überblick über deren jeweiligen Öffnungszeiten, Ansprechpartner und Services erstellt, so dass Sie von den Seiten der SULB aus ohne große Suche rasch die entsprechenden Informationen finden. Den Link finden Sie unter „Bibliotheken der UdS“ im blauen Balken oben.
– Die wichtigsten Links zur Neuanmeldung, Fernleihe, Platzreservierung, DBIS etc. finden sich in Zukunft unter „Direkt zu“ ebenfalls im oberen blauen Balken der Seite. Diese Funktion werden Sie bereits von den Seiten der UdS kennen.
– Auch die Inhalte der Seiten sind überwiegend in den Sprachen Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch verfügbar. Damit trägt die SULB zu der vom Land und den Hochschulen forcierten Strategie des „Dreisprachigen Campus Saar“ bei. Studierende und Wissenschaftler*innen aus dem Ausland und der Region können sich somit bequem bereits vorab über die Recherche- und Arbeitsbedingungen der Bibliotheken informieren.
– Die Einstiegsseite „Medien finden“ beinhaltet alle Informationen zur Ausleihe und zu Beständen, zu E-Books und -Journals.
– Unter „Lernorte“ haben wir alles gepackt, was sich sowohl im Lernort der Zentralbibliothek als auch im virtuellen Lernort „Moodle“ abspielen kann. Dort sind auch unsere Angebote zu Führungen und Schulungen integriert.
– Unter „Service für die Lehre“ finden (angehende) Wissenschaftler*innen Informationen zu den unterschiedlichen Publikationsmöglichkeiten, zur Universitätsbibliographie und Angebote für einen Semesterapparat bzw. zu Schulungen.
– Auf der Seite „Über“ erhalten Sie schnellen Zugang zu den verschiedenen Bereichen der Bibliothekslandschaft: Sie erhalten hier eine kurze Einführung in die Bibliotheksstandorte Homburg und Saarbrücken, erhalten erste Informationen zur Landesbibliothek und zum Literaturarchiv.
– Im Footer finden Sie schnell die Kontaktdaten der Zentralbibliothek, Formulare zum Downloaden und Rechtliches wie die Benutzungsordnung.

New WEB presence of the Saarland University and State Library
The WEB appearance of the SULB is getting old in years. Furthermore, some functionalities no longer corresponded to the current technical standard.
Therefore, the SULB pages will appear in a new look from 1.12.2020. You will notice that the „look and feel“ is essentially the same as that of the UdS. We put together the most important changes for you here.
– In cooperation with the faculty libraries of the UdS, we have compiled an overview of their respective opening hours, contact persons and services, so that you can quickly find the relevant information from the SULB pages without having to search for it. You will find the link under „Libraries of the UdS“ in the blue bar at the top.
– The most important links for new registration, interlibrary loans, seat reservations, DBIS etc. will in the future also be found under „Directly to“ in the blue bar at the top of the page. You are probably familiar with this function from the UdS website.
– Most pages are available in German, English and French. This way, the SULB contributes to the strategy of the „Trilingual Campus Saar“ promoted by the state and the universities. Students and academics from abroad and from the region can thus conveniently inform themselves about the libraries‘ research and working conditions before visiting the campus.
– The entry page „Finding Materials“ contains all information on holdings and lending conditions e-books and journals.
– Under „Learning Spaces“ we wrapped up everything that can take place both in the learning location of the central library and in the virtual learning location „Moodle“. Our offers for guided tours and training courses are also included there.
– Under „Academic Services“ future scientists will find information on the various publication options, the university bibliography and offers for a semester programme or training courses.
– The „About“ page provides quick access to the different areas of the library landscape: you will find a brief introduction to the library sites in Homburg and Saarbrücken, and initial information on the State Library and the Literary Archives.
– In the footer you will quickly find the contact details of the Central Library, forms to download and legal information such as the Library Regulations.
